A Musical for Toddlers & Parents
Parents and toddlers from across Middlesbrough have been hitting the high notes as part of a new project
Microbe Aria, a musical story for children and parents, has been running as part of Sure Start activities based centres and schools across Thorntree and Grove Hill. Those involved include Beechwood
Primary School, Marton Grove Primary School, St Joseph's RC Primary School, Grove Hill Sure Start Play Group, Thorntree Sure Start Centre, Thorntree Primary School, and Brambles Farm Sure Start Centre.
Participants have been working with a professional singer to learn songs and actions that will be a part of the final production in December. They will be joined by a group of musicians who will take them through the world of germs and bacteria.
“ There has been a tremendous response form all of the children and their parents. They have really got involved with the singing, I am sure that we have some stars of the future here” Says Brian Wise, Project Manager
Working on Microbe Aria has provided the experience to explore how we catch and spread cold germs, keep bacteria from growing in our teeth, and stay healthy.
